"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon--instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today." ~ Dale Carnegie
As we move into 2009 this week, I know many people will be making resolutions or goals, hoping to accomplish great things in the new year, or perhaps coming up with a theme as some of us have done in years past.
For me, this quote says it well. I want to simply enjoy that which is today, right here, right now. Each day, each moment, enjoy the view from where I stand and be thankful for it.
You may notice I've changed the name of these posts. I decided it's not so much about motivating as it is about reflecting or contemplating. Sometimes through contemplation, we are motivated, but not always.
So yes, a new year, a new name, a new opportunity to find joy in and celebrate the little things, as I've always hoped to do in my blog.
Happy New Year, friends!!!!
